The uses our customers pick it for.
Sage, EBP, Cegid and your management applications, reachable from anywhere by several colleagues, with no physical server at the office.
A real Windows desktop over RDP tuned up to 60 FPS, usable from a PC, a Mac, a tablet or a phone.
.NET Framework applications, IIS and SQL Server databases on NVMe storage, with steady query performance.
Domain controller, GPOs and company directory on a dedicated machine, joined to your existing network.
Scheduled scripts, bots, staging environments: a machine running 24/7 without tying up your own computer.
Platforms that require Windows and a permanent connection, hosted on a dedicated IPv4.
Windows uses more than Linux. Quick guide by use case.

The question that comes up most before ordering.
The system is installed for you as a Microsoft Evaluation edition — Windows Server 2022, 2025 or Windows 11 — and the server is usable as soon as it is delivered. That leaves the real question when choosing: how many resources to plan for.
Windows uses noticeably more memory than a Linux distribution at idle. In practice, count on 8 GB of RAM minimum for comfortable remote-desktop use, 16 GB as soon as you run a line-of-business application, a SQL Server or several concurrent sessions, and 32 to 64 GB for an application server shared by a team.
The system alone already takes tens of gigabytes: the 50 GB entry plan suits a light workstation, but plan for 200 GB or more as soon as you store data. Our configurations range from 4 to 24 vCores, 8 to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and 50 to 800 GB of SSD, with bandwidth from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps.
Moving up a tier is done from the client area, with no reinstall and no IP change, the price difference being prorated. You can start small and scale up once the need is confirmed.
Three systems available at install, at no extra cost. You pick at checkout, and can switch later by reinstalling.
The latest LTSC release, for a fresh deployment.
The proven release, certified by most software vendors.
A real Windows desktop, reachable remotely.
Client system: not designed to host a multi-user service.
Not sure? Windows Server 2025 fits the vast majority of server workloads. Pick 2022 only if your software requires it, and Windows 11 if you need a desktop rather than a server.
Windows costs more in licensing and in memory. It is only worth it if your software demands it.
| Criterion | Windows VPS | Linux VPS |
|---|---|---|
| Connection | RDP (Remote Desktop), full graphical interface | SSH command line, no desktop by default |
| System licence | Evaluation edition, licence not included | None: free and open-source distributions |
| Recommended memory | 4 GB minimum, 8 GB with business software | 2 GB is enough for a site or an API |
| Typical software | Sage, EBP, Cegid, .NET, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory | Nginx, Apache, PHP, Node.js, Docker, PostgreSQL, MySQL |
| Who it is for | SMEs, firms, finance and management teams, trading, remote desktop | Developers, web agencies, website and bot hosting |
| Entry price | 8.00 €/mo | 4.99 €/mo |
In short: pick Windows if you need RDP, business management software, .NET, SQL Server or Active Directory. For everything else, Linux does the same job for less. See Linux VPS plans

Your server is delivered in 10 minutes once the order is confirmed. You receive the IP address and Administrator credentials, and can connect over RDP right away. The system you picked at checkout — Windows Server 2025, 2022 or Windows 11 — comes pre-installed. The Microsoft licence is not supplied: you must hold a valid one for your use.
Via RDP (Remote Desktop), built into Windows: open "Remote Desktop Connection" on your PC, enter the VPS IP address and the Administrator credentials received at delivery. Our RDP is performance-tuned, up to 60 FPS — usable as a real remote workstation.
Yes, that is one of the main use cases: a Windows VPS hosts your business/ERP software accessible from anywhere over RDP, by several employees, without a physical server at the office. NVMe SSD and a dedicated IPv4 provide stable performance for business databases.
Windows if you need RDP, .NET Framework applications, SQL Server, Active Directory or Windows-only business software. Linux (cheaper) for websites, APIs, bots and most open-source server workloads. Unsure? Our guide What is a VPS? covers the use cases.
Windows Server needs more than Linux: plan 4 GB minimum for light use (RDP + office work), 8 GB recommended once you add business software, SQL Server Express or several simultaneous users.
Anti-DDoS is included on every plan, as is the dedicated IPv4. Snapshots let you save the server state before a risky update and restore in one click.
All three are available at install time, at no extra cost, and you pick one when ordering. Windows Server 2025 fits the vast majority of server workloads: it is the latest LTSC release, with security updates until November 2034. Choose Windows Server 2022 only if your business software is certified on that version alone. Windows 11 is for people who want a remote workstation rather than a server — it is not designed to host a multi-user service.
Our Windows VPS start at €8 per month for 4 vCores, 8 GB of RAM and 50 GB of SSD, and go up to 24 vCores and 64 GB of RAM. The comparison table above lists all four configurations, monthly and yearly (-10% on a yearly term). No setup fee, no minimum term. The one extra cost to plan for is the Microsoft licence, which we do not supply.
Windows Server allows 2 concurrent administrative RDP sessions, which is enough to administer the machine. Beyond that — several colleagues working on an application at once — Microsoft provides RDS CAL licences, available from an authorised reseller. If you are unsure about your case, write to us before ordering and we will tell you what you need.
Yes. The servers sit in our DC-FR_NA(01) datacenter in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, run directly by the association's technical team — no reselling, no third-party platform. Your data therefore stays under French jurisdiction, within the GDPR, with no transfer outside the European Union.
Yes. Reinstallation is triggered from your client area, and you can use it to switch systems — from Windows Server 2022 to 2025, for instance. Take a snapshot first: a reinstall wipes the disk. To move to a different plan, write to support and they will walk you through it.
