Windows 11 VPS: your Windows desktop, reachable from anywhere
A real Windows 11 desktop hosted in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, opened over RDP from any device, delivered in 10 minutes.
Starting at €8/mo
Introduction
A By-Hoster Windows 11 VPS is a real Windows desktop running around the clock in our DC-FR_NA(01) datacenter in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, which you open over RDP from a PC, a Mac, a tablet or a phone. You get the interface you already know, with full administrator access to install whatever you need. The machine is delivered in 10 minutes after ordering, from €8/mo, no contract.
One thing to be clear about before you order: Windows 11 is a client system, not a server system. It is not designed to host a multi-user service, and its support window depends on the installed release — roughly 24 months per release, with no fixed end date. For server workloads (network roles, a directory, application RDP for several people), take a Windows Server 2025 VPS instead: same hardware, same price, no extra charge for the system.
Four configurations cover the range: Core at €8/mo (4 vCore, 8 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD, 500 Mbps), Plus at €13/mo (8 vCore, 16 GB, 200 GB), Max at €26/mo (16 vCore, 32 GB, 500 GB) and Titan at €49.99/mo (24 vCore, 64 GB, 800 GB, 1000 Mbps). All of them include NVMe storage, a dedicated IPv4, Anti-DDoS, snapshots and a backup VNC console. The Microsoft licence remains your responsibility.
What a Windows 11 VPS includes
Optimised RDP up to 60 FPS
A smooth Remote Desktop session, including chart scrolling and heavy office work. A backup VNC console takes over if RDP becomes unreachable.
Full administrator access
You install, configure, schedule and reinstall whatever you want. System reinstall and snapshots are driven from your client area.
From 4 to 24 vCore
Four configurations, 8 to 64 GB of RAM, 50 to 800 GB of SSD on NVMe storage, 500 to 1000 Mbps of network and a dedicated IPv4.
Hosted in Nouvelle-Aquitaine
A single datacenter, DC-FR_NA(01), run directly by the association's technical team. Data under French jurisdiction, GDPR, no transfer outside the European Union.
What is a Windows 11 VPS good for?
Second workstation
An always-on PC you find exactly as you left it, without carrying your files from one machine to another.
Automation and scripts
Scheduled tasks, bots, macros, Selenium automation: the machine keeps running 24/7 even when your own computer is off.
Market tools and trading
Platforms that must stay connected continuously, with a dedicated IPv4.
Testing and compatibility
Validate an application or an installer on a clean Windows 11, without touching your main machine. Take a snapshot before each run.
Windows development
A dedicated dev environment, long builds, heavy tooling: the load sits on the VPS instead of your laptop.
Working while travelling
An RDP session opened from any connection: your desktop follows you without leaving data on the local device.

No, we do not supply it. By-Hoster installs the system but neither provides nor resells Microsoft licences: you must hold a valid licence for your own use. The VPS ships with the system installed and administrator access; activation and licence compliance are on you. Same rule for business software — Sage, EBP, Cegid, Ciel: those licences stay yours. That is a transparency choice, not an oversight.
Our reference point: 4 GB of RAM minimum for light use (RDP and office work, a single user), and 8 GB as soon as you add business software, SQL Server Express or several concurrent users. The Core plan already starts at 8 GB, which covers most remote workstations. Beyond that — several heavy applications open permanently, large databases — move up to Plus (16 GB) or Max (32 GB).
No, and it matters to say so before you order. Windows 11 is a client system: it is not designed to host a multi-user service. For RDP access shared by several people, server roles or a directory, take a Windows Server 2025 VPS or 2022, offered at no extra cost. On licensing, Windows Server allows 2 concurrent administrative RDP sessions; beyond that, in application RDP mode, Microsoft RDS CAL licences are required.
Once delivered — 10 minutes after ordering — you receive the dedicated IPv4 address and the administrator credentials. Open your Remote Desktop client (mstsc on Windows, Microsoft Remote Desktop on macOS, iOS and Android), enter the IP and log in: the optimised RDP access reaches up to 60 FPS. If RDP becomes unreachable, the backup VNC console in your client area takes over. Step-by-step details in our RDP connection guide.
Yes. Three systems are offered at order time at no extra cost: Windows Server 2025, Windows Server 2022 and Windows 11. You pick one when ordering and can change it later by reinstalling from the client area. A reinstall starts from a blank system: back up your data and take a snapshot before you launch it. Windows Server 2019 is no longer offered at order time.
Technically yes, administrator access is complete. On licensing: SQL Server needs its own licence — Express is free but limited to 10 GB per database, 1 socket or 4 cores and 1.4 GB of RAM for the engine; Standard and Enterprise are paid editions. Sage, EBP, Cegid or Ciel licences stay yours. For a deployment shared across several workstations, business software hosting on Windows Server is the better fit.
What is included and documented are snapshots: you freeze the state of the machine from the client area before an update, an installation or a test, and roll back if needed. We do not promise automatic daily backups with a guaranteed retention window on this range. For critical data, also keep a copy outside the VPS — that is good practice with any host.
