Using Plesk in your language

Your By-Hoster web hosting is managed in Plesk. The Plesk interface is displayed in French for all customers. If you prefer another language, your browser can translate every Plesk page in one click, free of charge and with nothing to install.

The easiest way: everyday tasks from your client area

The most frequent tasks are done directly in your client area, in your language, without opening Plesk. Go to My services, open your hosting, then choose a tab:

  • Email: create an address, change its password, find the settings for your email app and open webmail;
  • Databases: create a database and its user, change the password, open phpMyAdmin;
  • FTP: change the FTP password, create an access restricted to one folder for a developer;
  • PHP: choose the PHP version of each domain;
  • SSL / HTTPS: get a free certificate and redirect visitors to HTTPS.

Webmail and phpMyAdmin are shown in your browser’s language. For everything else (file manager, WordPress, DNS…), open Plesk and let your browser translate it, as explained below.

Why is Plesk displayed in French?

The Plesk panel on our servers runs in a single language, French, which is the same for every customer. Your client area, on the other hand, is available in 8 languages: pick yours with the language selector at the top of the page.

  • A machine translation can be approximate: if you are unsure about a button, go back to the original version with the translate icon.
  • If no translation is offered, reload the page: Plesk loads some screens in several steps.
